Davide Valeriani, Ph.D.
Davide obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of Parma (Italy), and his PhD in Computing and Electronic Systems from the University of Essex (United Kingdom). His doctoral project was on developing collaborative Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) based on EEG to improve group decision making. During his first post-doctoral training at the University of Essex, he has worked on the neural correlates of multi-sensory integration in decision making. As a research fellow in the Simonyan lab, his current work focuses on applying deep learning and other advanced machine-learning techniques to multi-modal neural data, including EEG and MRI, to identify neural markers of decision-making and neurological speech disorders.
